Supervisor brought his kids to Airbnb

My supervisor and I were sent to a different state, 10 hours away from home, to start a new factory for our company. The company is renting an AirBnB for us while we are here. I come back from vacation and now three of his daughters are living with us. One is a toddler, maybe 5 or 6, then the other two are 13 and 16.

After we got done with work for the day I got some food from the store for dinner. When I got back his toddler was drinking a monster energy drink and everyone was acting like it was normal. After some time the kid started bouncing off the wall, and he kept just yelling at her to calm down. I went to my bedroom chill out and do some

things on my computer, then she starts knocking on my door asking to eat my food. I pretended I was asleep. She kept this up for 20 minutes. After that the other two girls started fighting and it's all just yelling back and forth and the children won't listen to him.

Would I be overreacting to just reach out to management and demand that I get my own hotel room if he is going to continue allowing his kids here. I feel like I can't live in these conditions.

CoffeeCheese Yoga NOR - If anything you under reacting here. This is completely inappropriate. I would be on the phone with HR and management immediately

BrotherNatureNOLA Tell them that it's inappropriate for you to share a space with young girls you aren't related to.

Gonna_do_this_again Oh hol no. I'd tell whoever needs to be told that you need a separate Airbnb because this guy decided to move his family into the company's one.
  • 12
No_Hat2875 NOR, I think there would be something in place that does not allow bringing family on company trips. Especially obnoxious kids.

Neonballroom1223 Sounds like single dad has his kids for the summer.

humpyvision A toddler is not 5 yrs old, but that's besides the point. And yes. This is completely unacceptable.

TCTX73 NOR, I'm wondering if mom didn't drop them on him. At any rate, it's inappropriate. My dad would have me come visit when he was working on site, but he always had his own room/accommodations.
